Young Rangers is a FREE heritage and conservation club for young people aged between 7 and 16 years. It is run by Nidderdale AONB in conjunction with BTCV. We meet two Saturdays each month and more often in the Summer holidays. The places we meet at and the things we do are all related to conservation, heritage and wildlife. The Spring/Summer 2008 diary can be downloaded here. The Autumn/Winter 2008 diary can be downloaded here.
Why become an AONB Young Ranger? Well, apart from getting a chance to do loads of fun
activities and work towards a John Muir Award, our existing Young
Rangers have made new friends from all over the AONB. And, if that
isn't enough, after attending five workshops Young Rangers are
awarded a certificate as well as a t-shirt and badge for their
achievements. The Young Rangers are asked to complete fun tasks
between workshops and their work is featured in our regular
newsletter and on the website.
Click on the boot print to find out what kinds of activities
the Young Rangers get up to.
