Where is Nidderdale AONB?

Nidderdale AONB is located on the eastern flanks of the Pennines in North Yorkshire (shown on the map below in red).

The western boundary of the AONB runs along the edge of Upper Wharfedale and is shared with the Yorkshire Dales National Park, whilst the southern boundary in Lower Wharfedale follows the course of the river close to the towns of Ilkley and Otley.

To the east of the AONB are Harrogate, Ripon and Masham.
