New Summer Bus Service

Buses to Upper Nidderdale on Tuesdays and Saturdays

A new Summer bus service in Upper Nidderdale starts on Saturday 24th July. The Upper Nidderdale Rambler service links Pateley Bridge with Lofthouse, Studfold Trails, How Stean Gorge, Middlesmoor and continues up to Scar House Reservoir. It runs every Saturday and Tuesday until 31st August, complementing the existing Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday Nidderdale Rambler service.

Buses will connect with service 24 from Harrogate at Pateley Bridge, and depart King Street at 10.30, 12.30 and 15.30. Buses back down the Dale to Pateley Bridge will connect with the 24 to Harrogate. The 11.50 departure from Middlesmoor gives Upper Nidderdale residents the opportunity to spend the afternoon visiting friends in Pateley Bridge ideal for teenagers to meet up with school friends without the need for "Mum's Taxi".

The buses will be operated by local company AS Coaches of Fellbeck. The services are managed by the Dales & Bowland Community Interest Company, with funding from Nidderdale AONB's Sustainable Development Fund.

Concessionary passes are valid for free travel with a £4 Day Return fare available (reduced to just £2.50 for holders of Transdev service 24 tickets).
