Hay Meadow Meander
Thursday 1st, 6pm - 8pm
Enjoy an evening looking at and discussing the management of some beautiful and floristically diverse hay meadows, which contain some rarer meadow plants. Find out how landowner, Mr Ken Addyman, has developed his wonderful meadows with the use of fertiliser!

Den Building
Monday 5th, 1pm - 4pm
Come down to the woods today for a den building challenge.  Annie Berrington from Get Out More will lead this session where families can try out different techniques to build a shelter from natural materials.  Using team work, innovation and creativity children and adults will make their own unique dens, where they can enjoy a hot drink brewed in the woods. Activities suitable for children aged 4+ accompanied by adults. Please wear long sleeves/trousers.

Discover Hackfall
Sunday 18th, 10am - 12.30pm
Join the Hackfall Officer for a walk of discovery and enjoy the beauty and history of the Hackfall Aislabie Landscape Gardens. The paths are steep in places and can be very muddy/slippery. Dogs welcome.
Meet: Hackfall car park, on the Grewelthorpe to Masham Road.
Cost: £4 per adult, under 16's free

Heather Beekeeping Demonstration
Saturday 24th, 2.30pm - 4pm
Meet members of Harrogate & Ripon Beekeepers' Association on heather moorland in the AONB where they will give a short talk on heather beekeeping, followed by the opening of one or two colonies of bees. The event may include a short walk (approx. 1km) along a stoney track. Not suitable for young children. Please wear loose fitting trousers.

Geology of Upper Nidderdale
Monday 26th, 2pm - 4pm
Explore the fascinating geology and landscape of Upper Nidderdale with local geologist Adrian Kidd. The walk includes some steep ascents and descents and may cross rough, boggy ground and fields containing livestock.
