Hackfall Family Adventure Days
Friday 9th & Saturday 10th April
10.30am - 4pm
Hackfall is a place of magic, inspiration and adventure so why not come along for your own family adventure. Take part in stories, woodland arts and Nature Detective's activities. This is a free 'drop in' event and booking is not required. Some paths are steep and can be muddy/slippery. Dogs welcome.
Meet: In Hackfall Wood at the Rustic Temple / Fountains Pond.
You will need:
* walking boots or similar sturdy footwear
* waterproofs
* warm, layered clothing
Public Transport: Little Red Bus service 138.

Introduction to Geocaching - for families
Saturday 17th April
10am - 1.30pm
Join us on this exciting high-tech treasure hunt and see if you can find the hidden boxes of treasure. Suitable for 7-14 year olds.
Meet: Near Beaver Dyke Reservoir. Exact location will be given at time of booking.
Cost: £2 per child. Accompanying adults free.
You will need:
* walking boots or similar sturdy footwear
* waterproofs
* warm, layered clothing
* a packed lunch
* 2 or 3 small gifts for the caches
* a GPS (if you have one)

FULLY BOOKED - Hackfall Trees and Landscape Photography Workshop
Saturday 24th April
10am - 4pm
Join Edward Parker of the Woodland Trust for a day of photography in the wonderful Hackfall Wood. The day will include a presentation on photography techniques, followed by plenty of time outdoors photographing the trees, follies and landscape of Hackfall. Some paths are steep and can be muddy/slippery. No previous photography experience required.
Meet: Grewelthorpe. Exact location will be given at time of booking.
Cost: £3 per person payable on booking, plus £6 payable on the day for lunch.

Lower Nidderdale Ramble
Sunday 25th April
10.45am - 4.30pm
Join Open Access Volunteer Hilary Cunningham-Atkins on this wonderful spring walk through the beautiful countryside of Lower Nidderdale. A moderate 7.5mile/12km walk. Includes some ascents and descents and crosses fields containing livestock.
Meet: Hampsthwaite Church
Cost: £3 per adult, under 16's free.
