About the ride
The Ride Yorkshire Funride take place on Sunday 18th September 2011, on the Swinton Park Estate, in the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Choose from 3 routes: 7½ or 12 or 18 miles, along tracks and quiet lanes and bridleways across rolling fields and woodland around the Estate it's beautiful riding.

Ride Yorkshire are delighted to have privileged access to the Swinton Park Estate for this ride, by kind permission of Lady Swinton. The start venue is Roomer Common / Nutwith Common (HG4 4JW), with plenty of parking. Light refreshments will be available but there are no toilets. Please bring water for your horses!

Start times: 10.00 - 13.00

If you haven't got a horse but want to join in, Ride Yorkshire have arranged to hire horses from the Masham Riding Centre mostly Highlands from Lady Swinton's prizewinning herd (12 mile route only). Cost: £75 including horsehire and entry fee.

How to enter
Complete the entry form and send it to Ride Yorkshire Foundation, Ivy Farmhouse, Fangfoss, York YO41 5QH, with your payment. You will then receive confirmation and joining details, and you'll get a map, directions and hiviz waistcoat (£5 deposit required) on the day.

What is Ride Yorkshire?
Ride Yorkshire is a social enterprise. We aim to get more people riding in Yorkshire both experienced and novice riders. We're building directories of horse & rider
accommodation, riding & trekking centres and riding holidays (see our website) and we're helping disadvantaged kids and other people get out and have fun with
horses too. With the proceeds of our funride in April we helped 10 children from south Leeds have 5 lessons in horsecare and riding, and this time we'll fund youngsters from Bransholme, in Hull, to have a similar experience.
